It’s well known that hummingbirds love sweet things. That’s exactly why you should crochet a hummingbird for someone sweet in your life! This pattern is easy and works up as a nice quick project! This bird would also look very cute in other colors, such as purple.
Body:
Start in Green


Round 1: 6 Sc into a Magic Ring (6)
Round 2: *Inc* all around (12)
Round 3: *Inc, Sc in the next st* all around (18)
Round 4: *Inc, Sc in the next 2 st* all around (24)
Round 5: Sc in the next 10 st. Change to red, Hdc in the next st, Dc in the next st, Trc in the next 2 st, Dc in the next st, Hdc in the next st. Change to green, Sc in the next 8 st (24)
Now we will mark where to place the safety eyes. Add a different colored eye stitch marker into the 11th and 16th stitch in Round 5.
Round 6: Sc in the next 9 st. Change to red, Sc in the next st, Hdc in the next st, Dc in the next 4 st, Hdc in the next st, Sc in the next st. Change to green, Sc in the next 7 st (24)

Finish off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Weave in the ends and cut any excess yarn.
Wings: (Make 2)
Start in Green

Round 7: Align both stitches together and working through both stitches as the same time, Sc in the next 11 st, Hdc in the next st, Dc in the next 3 st, Trc in the next 3 st.
Turn. Repeat *Ch 3, SlSt in the next st* 3 times.
Pin the wings on as shown and sew or hot glue on. Once done, weave in ends and cut any excess yarn.
Nose:
In Black


Round 1: 6 Sc into a Magic Ring (6)
Round 2-8: *Sc* all around (6)
Finish off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Pin the nose on as shown now and sew on. Once done, weave in ends and cut any excess yarn.


Feet:
Using black yarn, embroider the feet on now.
