    Additional Information:

    • Let’s Get Started!
This football is made all in one continuous piece. We start at the left side, then work our way to the right side of the football. After we create the ball itself, we will sew on the white stitching at the top of the football! I’m sure that has a technical name haha

    • Tip
I recommend using the invisible decrease method when making your decreases. This will result in all of the stitches looking the same.

    Top Stitching:

    In White

We’re going to do this stitching about 3″ above the football’s eyes. Insert the needle right next to the white round (Pic 1), and pull needle out 3 rounds away as shown (Pic 1). Reinsert needle into the middle of the football as shown, making sure this lines up where you first inserted the needle (Pic 2). Pull the needle out at the left side of the football, at the third brown round as shown (Pic 3). Reinsert needle into the first line made, making sure the needle is inserted into that line (Pic 4).

    3.4.

Pull the needle above the left side of the football, landing 2 stitches above that second line we made (Pic 5). Reinsert needle directly down, 2 stitches below the line (Pic 6). Pull the needle out above the line, 2 rounds to the right from the previous line we made (Pic 7). Reinsert needle directly down, 2 stitches below the line (Pic 8). Repeat the process from Pics 6-8 until you’ve made 7 lines. Once done, tie the ends of yarn into a firm knot. Bring the knot into the football to hide the excess yarn.

Insert needle with thread into the middle area of the football (Pic 1) and pull the needle out next to the football’s left eye (Pic 1). Reinsert needle into the original insertion spot (Pic 2) and pull needle out next to the football’s right eye (Pic 2). Reinsert needle into the original insertion spot (Pic 3). Weave in ends.
